United Nations Presentations

As a culminating activity for our prejudice unit, 5th grade students created presentations for a mock United Nations Student Conference.  Their presentations were composed of three parts: "Learning from our Mistakes" (historical examples of prejudice), "Human Rights 101" (an overview of human rights and a few examples of the rights listed in the U.N.'s Universal Declaration of Human Rights), and "Hope for the Future" (their ideas on how we can end prejudice).  The students did an excellent job--I'm so proud of their hard work and how much they have learned during this unit!  I look forward to seeing how they will positively influence this world.
