Celebrate Science Update

This week, we had a few visitors from the McWane Center come to Edgewood to check on our progress for Celebrate Science.  We enjoyed discussing our three ideas with them and what our next steps should be.  In the next month or two, we will narrow it down to one idea and then begin planning and building our prototype.

U.N. Presentations 2015

After our semester-long study on the effects of prejudice, 5th grade students did a wonderful job during our culminating activity: a mock student conference for the United Nations.  I am so proud of the students for their hard work and know they will make a difference in the world as they lead by example and show what it means to treat all people equally.  Parents and other 5th graders also attended this special event.  Here are some pictures from that day:

Leadership and Teamwork Activities

In December, 4th graders participated in activities that helped them develop both leadership and teamwork skills.  They also learned a lot about the importance of communication!
